Vintage Ukuleles
Vintage ukuleles are wonderful instruments, and I especially like the look, feel and tone of the Jonah Kumalae koa ukes made in Hawaii in the 1920s and 1930s. The Kumalae workshop in Honolulu had five main styles with progressively fancier koa wood and / or 'rope' binding: left to right are Style A through to E from the ZoT collection. I currently have several Kumalae ukes and ususally have others such as Martin, Le Domino and others for sale - please enquire. Nothing sounds quite like the 'old wood' in a good quality vintage uke - no home should be without one! |

1958 Gibson ES225T
Built in 1958, when you see and play this guitar you know why the late 1950s are referred to as Gibson's 'golden era'. From wood selection to the attention to detail in every element of the bound neck and light weight semi hollow thinline body, this is primo guitar in near mint condition, for the player or collector. The 1950s P90 pickup and all-original electronics deliver legendary tone, and the straight, bound, neck plays like a dream. Comes with form-fitting Gibson hard case. Check out the on-line commentary on 1950s ES225s - these guitars are really highly regarded, and feel free to enquire for more pics and details. |

1967 Gibson Country Western
A great example of this up-market Gibson flat-top, this one is in excellent condition and looks very cool. But most importantly it has tall thin braces and sounds more like a 50s than a 60s model, with big bottom end and lots of detail. Has the slim Les Paul style neck that Gibson favoured in '67, good quality pickup fitted under bridge, and all ready to go with a newer form fitted Gibson hard case. Full set of photos available on request. |
